Deval Patrick is spending $72 large on what is essentially a person to keep his wife Diane’s daytimer. The last time I checked she was a high powered lawer at Ropes and Gray, one of Boston’s highest of high powered law firms. One would imagine that she could afford a scheduler, or that her adminstrative staff at the law office could keep her schedule straight.
This to me is more egregious than the Caddy, or the Helicopter which I’ve been on record as supporting if used for official business.
Together we can live like a king.....

Our new Governor is attending the National Governor’s Association in Washington, D.C. and has brought with him his Chief of Staff, an additional aide, his wife’s Chief of Staff, and Mrs. Patrick, who will be ’investigating issues that she will be working on that the Administration will be backing’. So. The Cadillac DeValle will be paid for partly by Governor Patrick. His excuse that the old Crown Vic that Mitt Romney drove ’has 80,000 miles on it and the heater doesn’t work!’ merely increased my respect for Mitt’s frugality, if it’s true. Now, the $595 per month difference in the leases will be paid by Gov. Patrick - hopefully from his own pocket, and not from his campaign account.
