People are being evacuated from their homes, and all of our local schools are closed. One radio station reported that people from Newmarket NH were unable to find an exit from the town … my husband has to go through there to get to work, so … I guess he’ll be home tonight. Rivers and streams are expected to crest on either Tuesday or Wednesday, but they’re not certain of when, and they keep pushing the estimate back. We’re on a high spot … and I’m grateful. All of the reports below are about the places I go to shop, see my doctors, go out to eat … they’re all right here. The building that they expect could be carried away by the Cocheco River is directly across the river from my dentist’s office … Maine and New Hampshire are separated by the Salmon Falls River, and those of us on the Maine side of the river do everything in New Hampshire, because there’s nothing much in the way of businesses, doctors, hospi...
