Ron sez: Based on other material I have read and viewed, I would say the Enron failure was worse than arrogance and stupidity - it was into fraudulent activities up to its armpits; so far, the AIG failure seems to be limited to arrogance and hubris - the downfall of all who take their prior successes for granted and move on to bigger and bigger and vainer and “stupider” positions and activities - tempting the gods!
