After much speculation and much waiting, Airtel has finally launched its DTH services across 62 Cities and 21,000 retail units.
One of the most distinguishing features will be that Airtel’s DTH services would have an universal remote for both the set-top box (STB), which receives signal from the antenna, and the television set, besides other features such as high STB memory, exclusive interactive applications, onscreen games and more efficient battery. Airtel Digital TV uses the MPEG4 standard with DVB S2 technology, which translates into picture clarity and consistent high quality audio for the customer. This technology also enables delivery of more complex interactive content and is "High Definition" ready, according to Mr. Manoj Kohli, the CEO and MD of Airtel.

Google India has started a new product called Google SMS Channels that lets you to subscribe to news alerts, jokes, stocks etc via SMS messages.

Recently Twitter has added an election bar mentioning the hot keywords of the upcoming presidential election. Well you can close it by clicking on the "X" mark at the right but it reappears again when you refresh the page or navigate to other pages. Luckily Life Hacker has come up with a work around through which you can remove the the bar totally.
