So my week off was just what the doctor ordered. Save for the techno dance remixes of Madonna hits , there’s really nothing to complain about. Ok, well, Heuston station was a bit of a nightmare on Saturday morning, because of some train stuck under some landslide or whatever.
So, obviously, we spent a bit of the time in Dublin. I have a love/hate relationship with the capital city. Having studied and worked in Dublin for a number of years, it was definitely time to get out of it. But when you live in a small “city” like Waterford, where everything closes at 6 p.m. and nothing much happens, then the excitement and lure of the bright lights and muddy Liffey water becomes too alluring every so often… until about 4 p.m. and the city gets uncomfortably crowded again.
