By the Comics Curmudgeon Do you know what presidential candidates really want? Sure, vast wealth and the power to have your enemies killed with just a gesture, but everyone wants that. No, what sets presidential candidates apart is their subhuman need to be liked. Thus John McCain ’s constant repetition of "My friends" isn’t a verbal tic; it’s a desperate plea for love. If only they had more friends, they wouldn’t feel the need to beg for votes! This week in Cartoon Violence , we explore just how sad the candidates’ friendless lives have become.
