Clay Dowling: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=afXfxoDs.6JA&refer=home The government is using the bailout money to forcibly nationalize the banking system.  JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America are extremely stable right now.  They don’t need government money.  They were the ones who were going to be able to weather the storm and build a more solid financial system. Now, instead, they’ve lost their independence and they’ll be subject to the governance of the same rocket scientists who helped cause the mess.  There is no way that this forced nationalization can end well.
