Digital meets analog with these really cool Cassette Tape iPod Nano Cases for your first or second generation Nanos. A classic audio cassette tape is partially hollowed out to hold your mp3 player while still allowing access to all jacks and controls. The original tape case is included which should provide some protection for the front side of your device. At $37, it’s a bit pricey for what could conceivably be a not-too-difficult DIY project. But you can’t put a price on cool. Well actually I guess you can, $37. Product page More »

I saw a strange thing on the bar today: A Shawshank Redemption soundtrack cassette tape. Uh, where did that come from I ask the husband. From the old cassette player we just donated to Goodwill. Oh. Well, what to do with it now? He then mentions he has a whole box full of cassette tapes. That’s when I suggest making cassette tape wallets ! And I found a lovely little tutorial on just that at Chezlin . She used a zipper, glue and fabric to create some cool wallets from old ca... more

Old School Dial Telephone Watch

Post Date: 2008-06-25 14:06:41

Take a gander at this old school dial telephone (remember those?!) watch. Ahh the memories. You’re probably asking yourself, how is this a watch? There’s no numbers, no hands, no screen. That would make it just a bracelet. But the secret to the Zihotch Retro Phone Watch is the little man on the inside of the watch. Just dial 117 and a voice will speak the time to you. The voice of a very small timekeeping man (or possibly woman). Why must you dial 117? ... more

Instead of letting all that runoff water from your drying dishes go down the drain, why not use it to water some herbs? This ingenious combo kitchen gadget lets you have the convenience and great taste of fresh herbs growing right on your counter without having to worry about all that pesky watering. The draining dish water drips right into the soil. Of course that’s making a huge assumption that you actually wash your dishes instead of letting them pile up into mini dish-mountains ... more

Sweety may look like a sweet little robot alien thing on a platter but he is much more than that. He’s a stress reducer. Yes you can squeeze him and punch him in the face like a normal stress relieving doll, but he can also do so much more. He can calm you with his beautiful graphic patterns and play interactive games where you manipulate his soft body. So much more. No I don’t get it either. via Yanko ... more

What happens when you combine a chair with a beanbag chair? You get the Sitsack. From James Van Vossel comes this might be comfy/might not chair that takes aspects of both types of chairs and combines them into one bizarre place to plop your butt down. You can lean back like you’re on a beanbag chair yet still have the back support of a normal chair. Seems like a good idea to me. Maybe. via OhGizmo ... more
