PCI tuner disables IDE hard drive/ cd drive

I bought an XFX pci TV tuner, put it in my old windows 2000 computer, and for some reason it disables the secondary IDE slot. At first it was disabling my hard drive, then I switched the cables, and it was disabling my CD drive. I tried removing other PCI devices also, but it still does it. Anyone know why this happens? ... more

I’m having a serious problem with rond.starsdoor.com popups as they are starting to take over my pc... I left my pc on downloading a couple of torrents while I went out for a jog and came back with a dozen popups and even shortcuts to partypoker on my desktop...
