There are a number of ways to examine that particular statistic. For instance, it means the Calgary Stampeders are moving the ball into scoring position consistently. And considering DeAngelis has connected on
87.5 per cent of those attempts, it also means the Stamps are consistently putting points on the board when they get the opportunity.
But the pessimist might also point out that while it’s all well and good that the Stamps are scoring points, they should be scoring more of them in increments of seven rather than three.
Had they done that just one more time in Regina last Friday night, the result would have been a 38-37 victory, and the Stamps would have been alone in first place in the West Division.
