Small Patch Released for L4D Dedicated ServersFrom: csnation.totalgamingnetwork.com
Post Date: 2008-11-06 10:06:42
A small update was rolled out a bit ago for the Left 4 Dead dedicated servers. Undoubtedly, this will be the first of a handful of updates to come. A small fix for the Linux and Win32 L4D Demo Dedicated Servers have been released. Please run hldsupdatetool (with either the game parameter of l4d_demo, or left4dead) to get the new files. This should allow dedicated servers to run. Again, admins should run hldsupdatetool to get the update. There are still issues being reported of servers coming up ...

Grub on MBR - not for everyone. From: forums.opensuse.org
Post Date: 2008-11-19 10:15:12
Does anyone know RPM repository where I can get GRUB install that has option to put it on PBR of the Linux root partition rather than in MBR? In fact it does not have to be in RPM butt at least tar or tgz format binary that I can run from sh ./install or sh ./configure and like.
I am having a hard time understanding SUSE 11 distribution forcibly install GRUB into MBR. Why not give us an option to put it on its root partition PBR as it did on earlier versions Otherwise Linux is usele...

Just A Story About GoogleFrom: hostingtopics.wordpress.com
Post Date: 2008-04-16 01:34:15
“Google Advertising Loves Link Farms”, this title grabbed me today when I visited SitePoint forums . Take a look at the story:
“A couple of months ago I started in earnest tracking the advertising hits that Google generates for me. And what I found is not a happy picture. About 30-40% of the traffic generated — ie. the traffic that I pay for — comes from link farms” says Rick Strahl on his blog.
Rick explains that he sent an email to Adsense support...

Hosting for FamousFrom: hostingtopics.wordpress.com

It is amazing how people enjoy someone else’s failure. Tabloids placed the chick who “hosted” former governor on their first pages. And she was on the covers for a whole week. Are your surprised, why a 22-year old girl who has nothing to offer besides her own body is becomeing a rising star.
It is sad that a hooker attracts much attention than the fallen governor. She would be considered as a looser in a web hosting world, as someone who earned thousand per hour as a ooke...
