Thanks to everyone who made the first Dojo Developer Day a success!
AOL generously hosted the event, and thanks to the signs directing everyone to the right part of the building, things got kicked off on time.
The schedule was kept loose, and filled in organically . When folks wanted to get like-minded discussions started, they put it on the board and yelled that the discussion was starting at the right time. Instead of chaos, things went smoothly and many important topics got discussed in-depth.
The day kicked off with an overview of the various components of Dojo for those who were new to the toolkit. From there it was straight into the hacking, talking, and thinking. Over the course of the day we got to work on and talk about:
Data binding
Accessibility
Improved deployment optimization
Lightweight animation primitives
Internationalization and localization
A unified approach to vector graphics
The best ways to develop widgets

We’ve been having a lot of fun at the Ajax Experience. Alex talked for 3 hours today… Brad and I will be talking for 90 minutes each on Friday. We’ve talked and talked and talked some more, as well as spending time testing the 0.3 release candidates.

I checked in a patch for the dojo.validate is too large bug. Please update your dependencies to include the portions that are required. Or let me know if you don’t like the approach I have taken. Also, please check to make sure I didn’t nuke any internationalized characters.
