Hi everyone!!! I’m new to the forum. So happy that I found it! Im 28 years old and have 2 gorgoues little boys. Blake is 4 and Talan is 2. I was gestational with both of them and then about 2 months after Talan I was diagnosed as a Type II. I was having massive headaches and VERY blurry vision. Now I am a Registered Nurse so I should have picked up on all the clues, but of course I did not. My husband finally told me to check my sugar. Low and behold...394 FASTING! As I mentioned before I have 2 boys...I’m dying to have another child...Praying that it will be a girl. So that brings me to my question.... I also have high cholesterol and the Endo has put me on Crestor 5mg at night. My husband and I are going to start trying in November and I need a med that I can take while pregnant. Does anyone know of a cholesterol medication that you can take while pregnant? Thanks!!!!

I made this with my brother. I have a blue 08 GTS and I found that the stock interior looked like crap compared to the rest of the car. Now I have a good looking car with a good looking interior.:) I showed it to the guy that sold me the car and he found the interior so nice that he called his boss to see it. He also thought it looked great.{thumbup} I figured I had to show it to other Lancer owners and get their opinions... ... more
Family Fun Night: Backyard Camp Out

Post Date: 2008-09-28 03:07:01

This week’s Family Fun Night was a lot of work, but totally worth it. First thing this morning, Jimmy and The Smallest Person set up the tent. Some good friends let us borrow their fire pit and we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for a well rounded and healthy meal. We read stories by the fire and then stories in the tent. The weather was gorgeous so we even played a little soccer, baseball and frisbee. I’m really excited about this new tradition. The girls ha... more

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been to have a look at the work being done on my flat. I’ll have some more pictures to put on show later, but here’s one to be going on with, which shows the layers of wallpaper that were holding up the kitchen wall… That mosaic effect was probably quite the thing at whatever time it was put up, but it must have made the room seem very dark. ©2008 Losing it[1] . Spikes!

At breakfast today I miss calculated the muesli so maybe it’s not the best example but it highlighted the issue and it’s not the first time I’ve had this spike. I guess the question is how can I combat this? Inject 15mins early or more insulin? I thought milk/muesli were fairly low GI and wouldn’t experience a spike like this, it just annoys me because I totally lose concentration and I can’t imagine is does my A1c any good. I think I might have to weigh the two separately to stop repeats... more
