DMDScript updates became a thing of the past as Walter worked to bring DMD to a 1.0 release. As a result, it has long been incompatible with the current version of DMD. No more. Walter has released DMDScript 1.13 . This release brings it up to date with the DMD 1.003, so if you were wanting to check it out you can do so now without difficulty.

LodePNG Ported to DFrom: dblog.aldacron.net Post Date: 2007-01-05 03:20:33 Lutger announced that he has ported LodePNG , which I had never before heard of, to D. Having worked with libpng , which is really a horrid API, I’ve dreaded the idea of creating a binding for it. Now, I don’t have to. LodePNG is much simpler to use. To be clear, it’s not a libpng binding or wrapper — it’s a completely self-contained png loader. You can download the D module directly . Documentation is available online .

Hoist the flags! Release the balloons! Get pissed and tumble down the stairs! Do whatever it is you do in celebration: Walter has officially announced DMD 1.0. I was hoping to catch it early, but I’ve been away from the computer all day and missed it.
All of the many bugs squashed, as usual, are listed in the change log . You might want to use one of the mirrors , set up by a few D users, to download the compiler, though.
Thanks, Walter, for giving us 1.0!... more  Derelict GL_EXT Extension SupportFrom: dblog.aldacron.net Post Date: 2007-01-01 23:31:16 I’ve just finished DerelictGL’s support for the loading of most GL_EXT extensions. I excluded some for different reasons, which you can read more about in the forum post I made explaining it all. I have yet to update the documentation with info on how to load extensions, but it’s really easy to get up and running with it. If you can’t figure it out, ask in the forums until I get the docs updated. GL_ARB extensions are also supported.
