A Papal visit, sometimes dismissed as so much hoo-hah and frippery, stirs serious, intelligent debate across the media spectrum from (for instance) faithful Catholic blogs - to apparently impartial, secular newspapers - to militant atheist forums. Otherwise hostile people are drawn into the world of Catholic ideas and these are openly debated. Of course, some people will say no to what the Pope freely offers in Christ, but many more will take a closer look. This is the New Evangelization .
