Filed under: Handsets , Windows Mobile , GSM , EDGE , HSDPA , UMTS , E-TEN Rumor has it that E-TEN will be unveiling a new Windows Mobile set at Taiwan’s Computex next month that sports — count ‘em, one, two SIMs. The so-called DX900 (pictured) in the glofiish series should be quite a powerhouse, too, with triband HSDPA, quadband GSM, 3 megapixel autofocus cam, FM radio, 256MB of ROM with microSDHC expansion, GPS, motion sensor, and that all-important VGA display that’s probably (hopefully) going to come to define high-end WinMo devices from here on out. We don’t see any particular reason why this one wouldn’t come to fruition; dual-SIM phones are pretty commonplace in Asia, though the presence of triband HSDPA is a pretty rare feat in that bunch. Anyone feeling an itch to import one of these stateside? [Via the::unwired ] Read Share This

Eyes-on with the teensy Sony Ericsson T303
From: dailygadget.info
Post Date: 2008-03-04 18:13:34

Filed under: Handsets , Features , Sony Ericsson , GSM Here’s the story: this Sony Ericsson T303 is a tiny one. Like, really small. We spotted it behind glass at the Sony Ericsson booth here at CeBIT, and we could easily see it becoming a top fashionista pick. Unfortunately, the paltry specs are going to divert all but the staunchest supporters of fashion minimalism. We’re also a little confused why Sony Ericsson still hasn’t replaced that generic “SE 123... more
Nokia 6550 hands-on

Post Date: 2008-03-04 18:13:33

Filed under: Handsets , Features , Nokia , T-Mobile , Symbian , GSM , EDGE , HSDPA T-Mobile gave us a quick look today at Nokia’s latest clamshell, the 6550 . The Series 60 phone is pretty sexy as far as Nokia flips go — and quite the looker in its own right — but it’s still clear that Nokia’s struggling to make any of its S60 units truly “skinny.” The QVGA screen is naturally stellar, and the secondary display on the back includes a few... more
Something old, something new: Spyker brings two models to CeBIT
From: dailygadget.info

Filed under: Handsets , Others We don’t know what it is with boutique brands picking up year-old Haiers and passing them off as new wares, but it’s a trend that appears to be picking up some steam. Spyker, the Dutch auto manufacturer, got into the phone branding game last year and is set to roll out a pair of new midrange models at CeBIT this week. The first model, LaTurby, has a name that’s extremely fun to say (seriously, give it a try) — but tha... more

Post Date: 2008-03-04 18:13:33

Filed under: Handsets , T-Mobile , Windows Mobile , HP , GSM , EDGE , HSDPA What will it be, the good or the bad news first? How ’bout the good. After an initial rebuff, we finally managed to grab some photos of that exclusive T-Mobile MDA compact IV. You remember: 7.2Mbps HSDPA, GPS, VGA resolution screen, WiFi and 4GB of on-board storage. It’ll also launch “mit neuestem Microsoft Betriebssytem” which we can safely assume is Windows Mobile 6.1 at this poin... more
