Although it appears that a few have now been observed , the Sun is probably now in the “quiet phase” of its activity cycle, which I am led to believe repeats every 11 years or so. And funnily, the Earth ’s temperature has been dropping a bit to match the reduction in solar activity, hasn’t it? Don’t miss these awesome Sun pictures while checking out that article.
