According to Variety one of our favorite actors, Firefly/Serenity’s Nathan Fillion will be lighting up ABC’s airwaves soon. The Castle, which stars Fillion as a novelist who helps the police solve crimes, is one of five shows ABC placed orders for Monday.
Here’s hoping this one connects with audiences. Fillion has had two Fox shows that got the axe, Firefly and Drive, the story of a mysterious cross-country race. Since being on ABC’s radar, he had a couple of appearance on Lost as a former boyfriend of Kate. He was a lawman unfortunately unaware of his lady’s criminal past. Looks like ABC’s enamored of casting Fillion as a crimefighter.
Fantasy-themed show Captain Cook’s Extraordinary Atlas was not screened because of a late shooting schedule.

Today, ABC announced that they have cut the order for Nathan Fillion’s new TV show, Castle, from 13 episodes to 10. This is most likely due to the recent announcement that ABC producers were all asked to shave 2% off their budgets. Still, it doesn’t bode well for Fillion who can’t seem to keep a project on the air.

It had the best soundtrack I’ve ever seen in a TV show, it had a good mix of comedy, drama, action, etc... and it was sort of like an old western movie mixed with star trek, but 100x better.
If you don’t know what the hell Firefly is check it out, they have the full series on Hulu right now. I want it to be back on the air, and if you watch it you’ll see why.
