Yoyoyo! This is Fronz from over on Jtor’s brother site Destructoid. Every Friday I’ll be putting up a video or two with a theme of some sort, or just amazing anime music videos I come across. If you find one you think is worthy of people’s attention then feel free to let me know. I’m an artsy guy that’s just a casual anime watcher, so I’m open to all sorts of AMVs.
Recently Gary Jules’s “Mad World” rendition of the Tears For Fears classic has been popping up in a few gaming trailers, so I thought it was worth finding an equally emotional “Mad World” AMV. With footage from the anime Paranoia Agent, its creator Roccket managed to do a smooth editing job of packing all 13 episodes into one four minute video with few fade transitions. All the cuts go really well with the music, and altogether the video does a great job at capturing the anime’s sometimes hard to mentally handle storyline and mood.

How I love anime music videos. However, the ones I heart the most are the ones with nonstop violence. I went through my and www.animemusicvideos.org lists to find a sample of the best and brightest in the action category. These are just a mere drop in the ocean; so if you like these take a swim over to amv.org and discover why AMVs are the brightest jewel in fandom today. CLAMP. I hate CLAMP. I loathe them. Everything they shell out can be summed up by that one picture up there. However, it would seem the New York Times doesn’t hate CLAMP. Today’s New York Times has an article profiling and interviewing CLAMP. The article is by Charles Solomon, and can be read here.
