Question XP installation on ACER Extensa E264
From: pchelpforum.com
Post Date: 2008-10-29 15:23:33

Hello! I tried to install XP on an ACER Extensa E264, which has a native Linpus Linux but also an original DVD support for Vista and XP. In order to avoid problems with Raid drivers and to save the Linux installation, I provided an additional EISA HD and selected it as first HD. Then I started the installation of XP Pro (genuine) from the CD unit selected as first bootable unit. At the end of the first phase (copy files) I encountered a system crash (blue screen) and no way to continue. Can an... more

( InfoWorld ) - The prospects for a single, European Union-wide patent regime appear to be dimming, as industry groups representing some of the most innovative companies active in Europe are urging the European Commission to abandon its promise earlier this year to make "one final push" to adopt the so-called Community patent. The  Community patent  promises inventors a cheaper way of registering their inventions across the Union, and more legal certainty for their pat... more
