This week, I have been contacted by two different IP PBX vendors to review their products: TalkSwitch and thirdlane . Ok, maybe this data point is meaningless, but it's not like I hear from IP PBX vendors every day asking my opinion. Phil Wolff over at Skype Journal details something I've noticed happening to me a lot lately: to get my attention. I get "friend requests" and "chat messages" from these people. I, of course, block the contact and ignore them. I've been in the computer industry long enough to know better. These aren't pretty women and men wanting to talk to me. Pingo is a typical prepaid calling service that uses VoIP to provide inexpensive calling to their customers.
