A lot of loose ends to kick off the morning:
Over at the football site, I have posted the latest Ask the Expert, this time with Scott Brown of The Pittsburgh Tribune Review. Click here to check it out.
Melvin Mora, who has been one of the hottest players in baseball, left yesterday’s game with a “strained left hamstring”, according to The Miami Herald (click here for the post). We’ll have to see how much time he misses, but I’d move him to your bench in daily leagues at this point.
Steve Kornacki of mlive.com (click here for the article) is reporting that come September 1, Dontrelle Willis will return to the Tigers after a 3 month hiatus. Who knows what role he may fill, but he could be worth a flyer if he gets a few starts.
Kornacki also discusses Freddy Garcia, saying “Leyland said he threw fastballs in the 86 to 89 mph range while showing a good curve and split-finger fastball” after seeing him work 3 innings ...

Quick Hit: Chad BillingsleyFrom: rotoprofessor.com
Post Date: 2008-02-26 03:37:39

I got some good feedback about yesterday’s Quick Hit debut, so I thought it would be fun to try something a little different today. Today will be a Quick Hit Marathon featuring six different pitchers. They will be posted throughout the day, so make sure you keep checking back for the latest. I hope everyone enjoys. If the feedback is good on this, we will do it again. Things will return to normal tomorrow with a new Ask the Experts. ...

Post Date: 2008-02-25 10:09:30
This is a new feature I will be doing on occasion here on the site in the afternoons. It will not be everyday. It’s just going to be a quick projection for a player for the 2008 season. Nothing fancy, just the facts. The series gets kicked off looking at Roy Halladay.
Roy Halladay has been the model of consistency the past two seasons. He’s not over-powering and will not pile up the strikeouts, but he’s going to provide your team an above average WHIP and ERA while chipping ...
