I would be proud and occasionally angry. 1. I would be angry that my ancestors were treated so poorly for so long. 2, I would be angry that I was sterotyped. 3. I would wonder if I didn’t get the job because I was black. 4. I would be angry about black on black crime. 5. I would be proud that the greatest black man was a man who could bring change through peaceful demonstrations although it was rare that he was met with peace. 6. I would be proud of the black soldiers of WWII who when given the chance to fight excelled. 7. I would be proud of a black man who stood before Hitler at the Olympics and showed him that that his race was not inferior. That pride woud grow when a young boxer named Joe Lewis was able to duplicate that feat. 8. I would be pround of a former soldier and baseball player that played his heart out even though he was made to feel less than human just because he was black. 9.
