Apple has released iTune 8.0.1, which fixes a lot of bugs, includes those involving High Definition TV (HDTV) episodes, Genius playback, iTunes visualizer, and accessibility. The new version also improves performance. Other fixes and improvements are:
Maintains Seamless playback of the current song when creating a new Genius playlist.
Improves syncing spoken menus to iPod nano.
Addresses the issue of deleting HD TV episodes when downloading.
Improves checking for updates from the App Store
Improves accessibility with VoiceOver.
Addresses problems syncing Genius results to iPod.

Microsoft has yet another mouse, this time the Arc Laser Mouse, which sells for $60. The new mouse features a hinge, which allows it to be opened or closed much like a Star Trek communicator. Microsoft notes, the hinge is "strong." Judging by the design, and noting metal fatigue will occur, there will come a point when it will break.

Japanese companies Gunze and Dai Nippon Printing are each developing new technologies to produce low-cost solar cells and both companies plan to commercialize their solar cells by 2010.
