Jon Peter Lewis’ ‘Break the Silence’

Jon Peter Lewis was one of the favorites on American Idol, though during a season I did not watch. He released his debut album in 2006 and just put out his second album, Break the Silence ( ). This is pretty much the type of album you would expect to get from a former American Idol contestant. It’s pretty mainstream; it’s not going to be rocking the boat. If a comparison is needed, the album is a slightly unbalanced mix of Daughtry’s self-titled debut and Clay Aiken’s Measure of a Man - closer to a softer Daughtry though than an edgier Aiken (in fact, the chord progressions of the chorus sections of Lewis’ ‘Now that I’m Kneeling’ and Daughtry’s ‘Feels Like Tonight’ are strikingly similar), with some Kristian Leontiou and Coldplay thrown in for good measure.
