Yet another DC comic character is coming to the big screen — Jonah Hex, a confederate cowboy, gunslinger and bounty hunter whose face is partly disfigured.
Do you get the idea that filmmakers are seriously running out of ideas, so they’re going into the comic book vault to make or remake every character out there? I do.
Anyway, Josh Brolin is in talks to star in the Warner Bros. adaptation, with Crank helmers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor directing and writing the script.
Brolin is pretty hot right now, having been busy since he smashed through theaters with his portrayal of Llewelyn Moss in 2007’s No Country For Old Men (which I loved). You can see him next in Oliver Stone’s W. and Gus Van Sant’s Milk . Looking forward to both of those.

Hollywood Elsewhere has reported that Josh Brolin will star in Jonah Hex , directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor for Warner Bros.
Based on the graphic novel the film will follow Hex–known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform–a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood.

Yahoo has debuted another clip from Oliver Stone’s W. as well as a new behind the scenes featurette. The film stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Banks, Richard Dreyfuss, James Cromwell, Ellen Burstyn, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Scott Glenn and Ioan Gruffudd. It hits theaters next week.
