K20D and K200D Price Drop :) ... in Canada

After seeing threads about inaccurate exposure with non-A lenses, I hauled out my tripod, my K10D and my SMC-P M 100/4 Macro, and did some testing. I found that in Av mode the exposure was virtually unpredictable, but I need to do some retesting to find out if it is a "one stop" mode. In M mode, I found that I could get consistent results only at f/5.6 through f/11, and to get an accurate reading on the exposure scale, I needed to stop down with the dof preview once, and then again. Allright - this is probaby a stupid question - at least a very ignorant one.... Why can you get - a 50mm F1.4 lense for under $200, but - a 77mm F1.8 is close to $700, and a - 31 mm f/1.8 is close to $900? - etc... What variables are all coming into play here?... more

Was sitting in the kitchen having coffee. looked out on the deck saw my snowshovel on the floor full of water from rain on monday. water froze monday nite or tuesday morning. found this embedded in the ice. i would have hated to get hit with this. must have came fron an airplane or something..... I’ve heard alot about chep pentamirrors and more expencive and nice pentaprizms. I know what exactly those things are doing, but what is the difference for an end-user? Why Pentaprizm is better then pentamirror? Does anyone knows it?... more
