I was watching the races unfold tonight, as I have done in the past elections. The thing that I found just as interesting as the race itself was all the cool tech the news sources had to cover the election. The computing power in each news room was phenomenal. TinEye est moteur de rechercher d’images (par comparaison) qui selon la vidéo de présentation semble vraiment très pertinent car il fonctionne sur une analyse de la structure même de l’image et non pas sur le nom de l’image ou encore les balises textes associées. La dernière application en date du New York Times s’appelle Times Machine . Le principe comme son nom l’indique est de proposer aux lecteurs du site la possibilité de parcourir les archives du journal depuis le naufrage du Titanic en 1912 jusqu’au 30 décembre 1922 (j’imagine qu’ils vont aller plus loin mais que cela demande un peu de temps).
