Jury Decision via Facebook?
From: moneyfoxs.com
Post Date: 2008-11-25 11:24:14

A juror in the UK was unsure of which way to go on a difficult court case. In order to get a wider perspective on the issue, the woman created a Facebook poll to gather her friend’s opinions. A crowdsourced legal system? Sounds interesting, but unfortunately the poll was not set to private, so anyone on the network could see it. Discussing details of a court case is of course, against the law, and she inevitably got caught and was dismissed from the trial. [via All Facebook ] ... more

Voter Suppression in Georgia
From: blueherald.com
Post Date: 2008-10-29 08:30:21

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isR3VN6Iyo0 Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Karen Handel obviously doesn’t want all these people voting. If your law states no weekend voting or day before election voting, than you need to insure that all the people who show up to vote early actually get to…….without waiting in line for 6 hours. This is fucking ridiculous and there need to be federal laws in place to avoid it from here on out. This IS voter suppression. ... more

ACORN Goes After The GOP For Voter Suppression
From: feeds.feedburner.com
Post Date: 2008-10-29 14:30:29

It’s great to see ACORN firing back at the GOP over their bogus allegations. ACORN isn’t laying down either, filing two lawsuits today . This entire faux-outrage by the rabid right has really shown their hatred. Who in their right mind would think that a national group like ACORN would collude to go out and illegally register people? It’s about as absurd as saying the RNC is holding meetings on how to keep blacks from voting. There’s More»»... more
