Yay, my computer died! I’ve had a Toshiba 5105 laptop for 6 years. It has been a pretty good machine. Last week, the hard drive started failing and I just didn’t want to spend the time and money to repair it. I’ve been thinking about replacing my computer and Mary’s computer for a while and I was sort of planning on doing it this summer. My old laptop decided to move up the time table a bit.
My first three personal computers were Apple products. I had an Apple IIe, a Macintosh SE and a Macintosh Quadra 800. I’ve been thinking about switching back to a Mac for some time now. One thing that has cooled those thoughts is Intuit’s poor support for anything not Windows in its Quicken product line. My original versions of Quicken were for the Mac and I know, they resurrected Quicken for the Mac but I use the Home and Business version which is not offered for an Apple product.
