Posted: 3:31 PM- Kidnapping charges were filed today by federal prosecutors against the former boyfriend of a Salt Lake City woman whose body was found in a large plastic container in the back seat of a car in Missouri.
Deborah Jones, 50, was found dead Tuesday, of asphyxiation in her Volkswagen Passat, which was parked outside a Branson, Mo., motel.
Charged with kidnapping is Michael Doyel, 47, who was found in the motel with Patricia C. Murray, 60, of West Valley City. The kidnapping charge relates to Jones.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Lohra Miller scheduled a news conference for 3 p.m. to announce “significant developments” in the case. More details will be posted after the event.
