The Martha Blog, the official blog of Martha Stewart, has announced a blog upgrade .. and they’re moving to Wordpress!
The new blog, now live, is hosted at The Martha Blog - at www.themarthablog.com .
Martha writes:
In order to have a blog, you need to enlist a blogging platform, which supplies all the necessary tools for getting your photos and text onto the Internet. As my blog has grown in popularity, we realized we were ready to switch to a platform offering more programming options. After careful research, that new platform will be Wordpress, which we hope to launch tomorrow with an exciting photo gallery from my most recent trip to Mexico. With this new program, you will notice additions, such as a search engine within my blog and more robust photo galleries.
Prior to this change, Martha Stewart was using Typepad .

More baking From: thetopfloorflat.com Post Date: 2008-09-30 14:28:17
Sunday was Ann’s birthday and so with a wonderful excuse to do some proper baking (which I hadn’t done in quite a while) I picked the most complex cake recipe I could find, raided the grocery store for enough chocolate to make everyone else in line raise and eyebrow (and look on quite jealously) and scoured the kitchen for anything that could make my job easier (I’m still using plastic pint glasses as measuring cups as they don’t have American style m... more
In this episode of The Martha Stewart Show, The Domestic Diva hosts guest Ludracris , treating him to…an origami lesson.
The combination is just too funny! It had us giggling all the way through.
Ludacris cheats on his origami box, but that’s okay, because Martha Stewart loves rap music, even though sometimes they have to muffle the naughty words.
And then Ludacris suggests they go get martinis.
They should record a track together.
After all, Martha’s got cre... more
pumpkin soup From: meanlouise.com Post Date: 2008-10-30 18:10:03
Hmmmm. The Martha recipe (pumpkin soup with lotus seeds) or the epicurious recipe (spiced pumpkin soup). Martha’s sounds easier, and has lotus seeds, which I’m partial to. But the epicurious recipe sounds good, too.
I know! Why don’t you whip up a batch of each and bring ‘em over and we’ll do a taste test?

I earlier wrote how ultraportable notebook computers can be a blogger’s best friend. I’ve been carrying my Asus Eee in my bag most anywhere I go, and I use it to do some work while waiting for the kids to finish their preschool classes, or when the wife goes grocery shopping. An ultraportable plus a public hotspot (or 3G connection via my mobile phone + Bluetooth) can do wonders.
It’s definitely a wonder how computer manufacturers these days have made these small g... more

Going Off Topic From: blogherald.com Post Date: 2008-06-18 03:50:27
“Off topic” is something we see a lot in blogging as a criticism. This appears both about content and about comments. You can understand why, we go to a blog for a reason and feel cheated if what we expect is not what we see.
But, what is “off topic”? Who gets to decide? and is it really that bad?
My blogs in the 90’s and early 2000’s were free flowing personal thought type blogs where the only topic was whatever was on my mind at that time. My on-topic w... more
