Let’s hope the Politico has it right. A Republican source confirms that John McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate. Campaign officials, however, remain mum this morning. McCain is expected to announce his choice at a rally in Dayton later. Palin is the first woman governor of Alaska, elected in 2006. http://dagnyd.net/vichy.htm Welcome to Vichy America This was not just another election. The last time we had a presidential election, the Left tried to get a brazen traitor elected - namely John Kerry. This new President from the Left is even more than that. Obama was no traitor, because he never was really on our side in the first place. Obama was really a foreign candidate - in spirit, funding, and citizenship. From 1 Peter 4:13-14 . Rejoice in the measure that you share Christ’s sufferings.  When his glory is revealed, you will rejoice exultantly.  Happy are you when you are insulted for the sake of Christ, for then God’s Spirit in its glory has come to rest on you. Prayer: God our Father, you give us joy each year in honoring the memorial of Saint Lucy.  May her prayers be a source of help for us, and may her example of courage and chastity be our inspiration. Congressional candidate Jimmy Lee called me this morning at home.  No, it wasn’t an automated call or a telemarketer.  I was Lee himself. He called to apologize for unsolicited emails I received and wrote about a few days ago.  I blasted his campaign for allowing volunteers to spam voters in the district. “I want you to know that I take personal responsibility for this,” he told me, “I want to apologize.” Very classy.  Apology accepted. ... more

From this story in the Herald News , the Fox case is starting to look like a game of musical chairs: whoever is left pays the bill. A detective, a county social worker and a polygraph examiner were dropped from Kevin Fox’s lawsuit Wednesday morning. “Ladies and gentlemen, David Dobrowski, Mary Jane Pluth and Richard Williams have all been dismissed as defendants in this case,” Judge John W. Darrah announced immediately after the jury sat down. Only five investigators r... more
