This one may make you dizzy if you think about it hard.  Sen. McCain, in the course of misstating Clinton and Obama’s health care plans, made fun of government airport security, saying "the next time you think the government should take over the health-care system of America, go to our airport and go through security." Until this week, Bobby May had been on GOP presidential nominee John McCain’s Virginia leadership team. But May was forced to leave the campaign earlier this week after the Los Angeles Times published part of a column that May had written. In the column, May wrote Obama would hire the rapper Ludacris to paint the White House black, and that he would attempt to appoint 50 Cent the Secretary of the Treasury. May, the treasurer of the Buchanan County Republican Party, also wrote that Obama wo... more

Recently, there have been some rumblings in the Democratic Party that Senator Clinton should gracefully end her bid for the party’s presidential nomination. Nonetheless, Clinton seems hell-bent on sticking it out to the very end. There are some good reasons and some bad reasons for her to end her campaign, and maybe even reasons for her to stay in the game. But what do you think, Seminal readers? Is it time for Senator Clinton to toss in the towel? Comment away!... more

He thinks they have horrible political opinions, but does not explain how those relate to atheism. He thinks they have a fetish for science and technology, but does not explain how that relates to... more

Matt Stoller made a very interesting observation yesterday. Talking about McCain’s first general election advertisement, he said: McCain is obviously hinging his whole campaign on his POW time in Vietnam, with this spot closing with ’An American President Americans Have Been Waiting for’. This is a frequent tool he deploys when he speaks with the press, saying things like ’I haven’t been questioned this hard since Hanoi’. I can’t help but think that it&... more

Hat tip to quiet Bill for posting this video over at the Agonist, along with the accompanying commentary from Steve Watson at Infowars. As Watson describes, "The footage was shot at a free Tibet peaceful assembly in New York on the 14th of March. It shows the protestors holding flags and signs and peacefully walking down the street towards the UN building in the Turtle Bay neighborhood only to be accosted by police officers with batons. One officer identified as "Delgado" is seen in the video ... more
