After hearing in class, on the internet, and on television that Obama is going to win in a landslide I thought I should post a few polls to quell the hype.

If you go to Pollster or Real Clear Politics the aggravated state polls on electoral map can paint an ugly picture. I am not going to lie to you either, it is very ugly. I want you to remember though that there is still a lot of time left in the election and most analysts agree that the polls will tighten. I keep reminding people as well that states like Florida, Ohio, Colorado, and Pennsylvania are not write offs but have a very friendly McCain/Palin demographic.

Well, I can’t tell you how good I feel. After live blogging the debate at the The Patriot Room I was talking to my friend Scott Martin who runs Conservatism Today and he said, “It was better than I expected and I expected a win.” That is exactly how I feel right now. National polls are consistently going back and forth, making it very confusing as to what is going on in the minds of Americans. Rasmussen recently had a poll showing Obama with his biggest lead to date. Zogby also published a statement indicating that it is entirely possible that McCain could win in a landside.
