John Kerry: McCain-Palin’s “hate filled” campaign should disqualify them.
Former Michigan Gov. William Milliken: “ He is not the McCain I endorsed ”
McCain might be stepping back from the abyss (or maybe this is just one more abrupt change in an increasingly bizarre campaign)
McCain booed for telling audience to be respectful of Obama.
In stark contrast to his last town hall meeting yesterday, John McCain dramatically toned down his attacks on Barack Obama, even after many in the audience were asking him to go on the offensive. McCain was even booed when he told the audience to be respectful and that “you don’t have to be scared” of Obama.

Welcome to Vichy America
This was not just another election. The last time we had a presidential election, the Left tried to get a brazen traitor elected - namely John Kerry. This new President from the Left is even more than that. Obama was no traitor, because he never was really on our side in the first place. Obama was really a foreign candidate - in spirit, funding, and citizenship.

S.F. approves carbon taxFrom: polizeros.com Post Date: 2008-05-22 19:28:59 The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has approved the nation’s first tax on carbon use for businesses. It’s a quite modest tax, some businesses may pay less than $1 a year, but it does set a precedent.
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom said he wants voters to decide on an additional tax in November that would charge more for carbon emissions, but lower payroll taxes on businesses that reduce emissions. ... more Bruce Sterling on carbon offsetsFrom: polizeros.com Post Date: 2008-05-22 14:35:29 Personal carbon offsets are gonna look kinda twee and silly once we have gigantic, collective programs to drain carbon out of the sky. It’s not about the personal emissions of the living — we gotta remove the emissions that have been hanging over our heads since World War One.
It’s gonna take people a while to realize that we’ve got to forget “footprints” and live in a less-than-zero carbon handprint. But we’ll get to that realization, because there... more Found On Road DeadFrom: polizeros.com Post Date: 2008-05-22 10:18:30 Ford continues its downward spiral , slashing production as they, duh, realize that gas hog SUVs and trucks are no longer selling well.
