STERLING HEIGHTS, MI — John McCain is warning Washington that he and Sarah Palin are a “team of mavericks” ready to “break some china.”
Monday’s declaration comes as McCain is now increasingly casting himself as a Washingotn outsider despite spending nearly three decades in the nation’s capital.
“Again and again, I have worked with members of both parties to fix these problems. Senator Obama never has. That is why this ticket is the ticket to shake up Washington because Senator Obama doesn’t have the strength to do it,” McCain said before more than 10,000 supporters in suburban Detroit. “He has never bucked his party on any issue, never. If you want real reform, if you want real change, send the ones who have actually done it…send a team of mavericks who aren’t afraid to go to Washington and break some china.”
Palin, who received a louder and more enthusiastic reception than McCain, also promot...

Welcome to Vichy America
This was not just another election. The last time we had a presidential election, the Left tried to get a brazen traitor elected - namely John Kerry. This new President from the Left is even more than that. Obama was no traitor, because he never was really on our side in the first place. Obama was really a foreign candidate - in spirit, funding, and citizenship.

From a reader:
While some are looking for confirmation whether Mrs. Jopek had asked Senator Obama to stop wearing (or using it) her son's wristband, what all are ignoring is Sergeant Jopek supported the mission in Iraq and died supporting a cause he believed in. That is Obama's greatest shame, that he has always failed to say that SGT Jopek gave all in a cause he believed in.
Yet that is just like what the liberal media failed to say when they propped up Cindy Sheehan. No... more

On a conference call yesterday, DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee Committee Member and Clinton supporter Tina Fluornoy told reporters that the Clinton campaign has four goals for today’s committee meeting to decide what to do about seating the delegates from Florida and Michigan.
First, the campaign wants the popular vote from the two states to count in the official tally. Then, they’d like those results to be the basis for any delegate formulation - meaning no splitting the delega... more
MILWAUKEE, WI — Is it a silly scuffle over verb tense or a debate that speaks to larger differences on Iraq?
