Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen Game & Monster by Walter Dean Meyers (Look for an author interview at the end of March.) Grow, A Novel In Prose by Juanita Havill (Plant a garden, build a community.) the Trouble with R...

If you’re like a lot of us, your luggage gets beaten up every time you travel. But instead of throwing out your old luggage, why not put it to good use instead? There’s an organization called Suitcases for Kids that donates bags to foster children. It was started in 1995 by a 10-year-old girl who realized that most foster kids, who move an average of seven times during their childhood, often move with black plastic garbage bags. But you’re not limited to just foster agencies to d... more

They’ve teamed with Quattro Mobile to create a custom site just for the iCrowd. (Media Post, reg. required). The Financial Times is trying to reach students by offering free 2-year subscriptions via Facebook . And in the latest article on Juicycampus (could this site get any more publicity?), Newsweek&... more

For Ypulse readers who followed the process of writing and publishing Totally Wired , I wanted to share my next project with you. No, it’s not the teen religion book or my own YA novel (though both are on my list for the future). It’s actually kind of a no-brainer that dawned on me after speaking to parents one night about Totally Wired. One of the dads said, can you talk to our teens? They won’t listen to us -- but they’ll listen to you. It’s a request I... more
