The apparently incombustible Meizu’s CEO Jack Wong has just announced that they are going to add Live Messenger to their M8 cellphone, the rather pathetic and sad motherboard who wants to be an iPhone clone when it grows up (if it ever gets released.) In other words: new vaporware announced for vaporware. The usual cynics are probably asking themselves “why should I care about this crap?” Which is exactly what we are asking ourselves right now. Like they say, all’s well that ends well — and that’s certainly true in the case of a gamer named Nathaniel. If you’ll recall , the Xbox 360 owner had sent his very personalized console into Microsoft for repairs, making very clear that the signed and drawn-on system had great sentimental value to him… which the technicians in Redmond promptly ignored. The rumors were (mostly) true: Pioneer Executive VP Russ Johnston said today that his company will continue ‘engineering game-changing plasma technology and producing proprietary components,’ but will no longer manufacture their own displays. From now on, Pioneer will outsource the production of its plasma models, but the company will be vigilantly involved in making sure that its highly rated TV lines will stay at the same high level.
More importantly, this means ...
