Filed under: Cellphones In the latest of what’s becoming a long history of tweaks to the Meizu M8 interface, Meizu CEO Jack Wong unleashed some new shots of the upcoming UI to his adoring fans. The new interface is designed by eico design -- who have also worked with Google, Lenovo, and Philips -- and looks to have a visually-satisfying sparkle animation for selected items (unless the battery above is just leaking). Another addition appears to be LED-styled status updates to applications, like number of missed calls and unread messages. Until we see this all in motion, though, we’ll quietly speculate and hope the pretty pictures are real.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Meizu M8 iPhone Clone Available at Geek IT Stores December
From: pmptoday.com
Post Date: 2008-09-29 07:39:20

Thanks to Geek IT, the Meizu M8 will finally be sold around December. Geek IT, apparently, has retail outlets in India and that is where the Meizu M8 is going after its China launch. So far, Geek IT only has 18+(?) franchises in three Indian cities. We were kinda expecting Meizu’s iPhone killer would  be needing at least a thousand stores to supply everyone that has been waiting for the phone for over a year. Though there’s no word on price yet, we expect the M8 to be avail... more

While it didn’t announce a date in its press release, a bit of prodding by Tech Ticker apparently convinced the company’s sales head to reveal that the phone would be released in December, with... more

Crosley Digital Bubbler Jukebox Brings The 50’s to 2008
From: gadget.fotoamulet.com
Post Date: 2008-03-16 02:43:11

I love vintage Jukeboxes. They are beautiful and are a piece of Americana we won’t ever get back again. Earlier this year we mentioned the iJukebox for the iPod by Crosley. Crosley again has modernized the Jukebox for the Me Generation with the Crosley Digital Bubbler Jukebox. Reminiscent still of the 50’s era style but with 2008 guts! Inside of its beautiful shell is a video/music server which can hold 1500 hours of content. It also can rip CD music directly to the hard drive or bu... more

Meizu M8 interface gets tweaked once again. A few pixels to the left, please?
From: gadget.fotoamulet.com
Post Date: 2008-03-16 01:40:00

Filed under: Cellphones, Portable Audio, Portable Video While it appears that Meizu’s infringement shutdown at CeBIT was for unlicensed MP3 usage, and not at all to do with the eerie resemblance to a certain iPhone, the company still seems eager to prove to the world it is brewing something unique with the M8 mini One. CEO Jack Wong posted a bunch of new shots to the Meizu forums with small interface tweaks that inch the OS a bit away from its iPhone roots -- but certainly not far. [Thank... more

Filed under: StorageIf you were impressed with OCZ’s latest 2.5-inch SSDs, chances are you’ll be thoroughly enamored by InnoDisk’s FiD 2.5-inch SATA 10000. ’Course, it’s certainly not the first 128GB solid state disc we’ve seen, but it does boast a rugged metal enclosure and promises sustained read / write rates of up to 110Mbps / 90Mbps.
