Five lifetimes ago, I attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a graduate student.
One of my teachers was Mike Hammer.
He went on to fame and fortune as a business consultant. (MIT likes its professors to take stuff from the lab to the Real World™. He took himself as well.)
He wrote a New York Times bestseller, Reengineering the Corporation: A Manifesto for Business Revolution with James Champy.
Mike Hammer died Wednesday .
