Image via Wikipedia So, Kobe Bryant has finally gotten the MVP award . I’ve always been a fan of Kobe - he’s got the ability to do things that nobody else can. And I think he definitely deserves to have gotten the MVP award. I couldn’t agree more with most of the analyses about his win. It’s not just about being the best player individually. Reigning MVP winner Kobe Bryant will be dropping his fourth signature sneaker, the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 , on January 17th, 2009. Possessing some very unique qualities, this sneaker does not look like a typical basketball sneaker. Wrapped in a Los Angeles Lakers colorway, this sneaker features a black leather upper with purple and yellow accents on the swoosh, shoelaces, and heel. Another interesting feature is the translucent midsole and the black reptile print found on the toe box and ... more

Educators are Entrepreneurs
From: feeds.feedburner.com

Debbie Cavalier has a good post about why Music Educators are Entrepreneurs . Simply stated, an entrepreneur is someone who identifies a “need” or a problem, and then figures out a solution. Of course, comprehensive goals, strategies, and execution plans must be developed and implemented in order to achieve success with any entrepreneurial endeavor, but it all begins with a “need.” It’s a great post, but just as I commented there, I think that holds true for all educators, no... more

Mashable features a guest post by Drama 2.0 , about how Data Portability is Boring . He says the following: “I’m sure users wouldn’t complain if there was an easy way to take certain data from one service to another, but by in large, I think the technologists pushing for data portability are trying to supply something that there isn’t a whole lot of demand for.” To an extent, I agree with him. There isn’t that much of a demand for it at the moment. That’s tru... more

clipped from weblogs.jomc.unc.edu There is no doubt Obama has had impressive success among youth, a demographic most candidates struggle to awaken from political apathy. I’m no expert in politics, but there’s a great lesson here. Nobody is truly unreachable. And if you’re able to reach those your competitors can’t, you’re very likely to succeed. ... more
Blogs vs Static Websites

Problogger recently asked the question of whether blogs have killed conventional websites . Shana Albert (among many others, I’m sure) added her thoughts to the question . In the latest episode of Six Pixels of Separation , Mitch Joel asks Seth Godin about the controversy over Seth’s blog (the issue with not having comments and all). Seth’s response? Listen to the podcast and see. It’s definitely a worthwhile listen. All this is to point out the co... more
