Jim Jannard has decided to sell Oakley to Luxottica.

This means Jim will be sitting on a lot of cash, and will still own Red. Mike over at hdforindies.com has concluded that this is, in effect, Jim’s way of saying he’s out of the sunglass business and into the HD camera business. While I don’t feel his suspicions are supported by the facts, I think those facts will be on the next bus.

This may be excellent news for the Red camera system. Let’s see what the next few days reveals…
