i assume that you do NOT need security inside your LAN....i assume that your LS is also behind a router.
@samba: you have to edit the /etc/samba/smb.conf
there you can set the workgroup and the shares.
if you want fast results, then look to the "global"-section and change to "security=share" .... but this disables all passwords + security.
if you want to have only special users accessing the LS then ...
