If you don’t want to carry Igloo Ed’s awesome setup for building a snow shelter , take a look at How to Build an Igloo: And Other Snow Shelters . I couldn’t help thinking about the mayor’s comments earlier this year about Ottawa going "web2.0" while waiting in line to buy a street parking pass at City Hall yesterday. Every month I drive to city hall, pay for parking, and wait in line to ask someone to print a new parking pass that I can put on my dashboard. Mike Ball is the CTO at very interesting Ottawa based startup up called LoyaltyMatch.com .  Earlier today Mike was telling me that LoyaltyMatch is participating in a really interesting competition to pitch to at the AlwaysOn/Vator.tv Venture Summit East 2008 Competition in Boston  April 8th.  Basically people vote for the pitches and the winners get to present in front of some big name Boston VCs.
