Sarah Palin, the person who at the moment is both a candidate for Vice President as well as Governor of Alaska, has been asked to repeat her High School Reading Comprehension class. Apparently, she believes that the Troopergate report released on Friday vindicates her .
Mrs. Haverschatt - Palin’s original Reading Comprehension teacher when she was a junior at Wasilla High - has said she would come out of retirement to tutor the Governor. In a tightly scripted five minute and thirty second telephone interview with three Alaskan reporters who had been pre-restricted to one question each ("no followups, please"), our challenged challenger said:
"Well, I’m very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing ... any hint of any kind of unethical activity there ,"
She can be excused for missing the part of the report that convicted her of unethical activity that was buried at the top of the report:

Palin - star - power
Promoted from the diaries by Erick
I went to the rally the vote event for Saxby Chambliss this
afternoon. And, again Sarah Palin showed, as she has in every venue
before this one, what charisma and star power are. It may have not
been a record but the thousands of people - young women, at least 3

couples with babaies, and the staple of the GA RNC, old people -
came out to see her and her o... more

In Philadelphia for a National Governors Association meeting Tuesday to address the nation’s floundering financial world, now Vice President-elect Biden and Gov. Palin came together once again.

Some thoughts on the poll above . . .
First, some assumptions.
Senator John McCain will be defeated by Senator Barack Obama by both a solid electoral and popular vote margin, although not the blowout I once expected. Barack Obama will have the psychological boost of being the first Democratic candidate since LBJ to win over 50% of the popular vote.
Governor Sarah Palin, who for a while was managing to exceed expectations and present herself as a reasonable nominee for VP and a t... more
So as we eagerly await the big event tonight, the one question that still lingers for me is...just what will Governor Sarah Failin be wearing?? I’m thinking she goes with the red dress. Or a parka or a live seal to show her state pride. Also, I might be going out on a limb here, but I’m pretty sure this question will be where things really get out of hand: "Governor Palin, suppose one of the world’s leading scientists and your local witch doctor meet to discuss global warming.... more

There’s been a lot of noise this cycle about Senator Barack Obama’s purported "problem with women," a talking point which gained popularity during his historic battle for the nomination against Senator Hillary Clinton. Though Obama’s numbers dipped slightly after the GOP convention, polls indicate he is trending upward again . Conventional wisdom among the talking heads and doomsday prophets is that Senator John McCain’s vice presidential pick Sarah Palin might ... more

Obama 50, McCain 42 Now, as you all know, the national tracking polls are pretty much a popularity contest- obviously, we’re in a race for 270 electoral votes- the same as it was when McCain was leading nationally.
