Out of the gallons and gallons of swill that right wing conservatives throw at the rest of the public on an hourly basis, one of the things that they wanted us to swallow was that Governor Sarah Palin was different. Governor Sarah Palin was authentic. Governor Sarah Palin was “real.” Well, over the weekend, we found out, again, she is none of those things. Governor Sarah Palin lies just as much if not more than any other politician. (The troopergate report for you to read it for yourself.)
From ADN :
“Governor Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda … to get Trooper Michael Wooten fired,” Branchflower’s report says.
“Compliance with the code of ethics is not optional. It is an individual responsibility imposed by law, and any effort to benefit a personal interest through official action is a violation of ...

Palin rallies crowd at first of four rallies
Sarah Palin is on a barnstorming tour of the state of Georgia
today, campaigning for fellow Republican Saxby Chambliss. The
incumbant senator faces a runoff election tomorrow against

being recounted in the Minnesota senate contest between Al Franken

Palin - star - power
Promoted from the diaries by Erick
I went to the rally the vote event for Saxby Chambliss this
afternoon. And, again Sarah Palin showed, as she has in every venue
before this one, what charisma and star power are. It may have not
been a record but the thousands of people - young women, at least 3
or 4 beauty queens with their tiaras and sashes, little kids, young
couples with babaies, and the staple of the GA RNC, old people -
came out to see her and her o... more
ABC reports :
In Philadelphia for a National Governors Association meeting Tuesday to address the nation’s floundering financial world, now Vice President-elect Biden and Gov. Palin came together once again.
"I want to thank all of you for being here," Biden told the assembled governors. "And Governor Palin, I want to thank you particularly."
"I might point out, as I told you -- we walked in -- since the race is over, no one pays attention to me at all," Biden said. "So I&... more
Some thoughts on the poll above . . .
First, some assumptions.
Senator John McCain will be defeated by Senator Barack Obama by both a solid electoral and popular vote margin, although not the blowout I once expected. Barack Obama will have the psychological boost of being the first Democratic candidate since LBJ to win over 50% of the popular vote.
Governor Sarah Palin, who for a while was managing to exceed expectations and present herself as a reasonable nominee for VP and a t... more
So as we eagerly await the big event tonight, the one question that still lingers for me is...just what will Governor Sarah Failin be wearing?? I’m thinking she goes with the red dress. Or a parka or a live seal to show her state pride. Also, I might be going out on a limb here, but I’m pretty sure this question will be where things really get out of hand: "Governor Palin, suppose one of the world’s leading scientists and your local witch doctor meet to discuss global warming.... more

On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee was the little engine that couldn’t. He tried and tried but Florida was his Waterloo. He needed to do well (interpret as win) in South Carolina and Florida and he really didn’t. The money dried up and McCain just kept on rolling. Huckabee formally pulled out of the race this evening but for all practical purposes he has been done for weeks.
John McCain made his “ I won’t let you down ” speech . This means ... more
I feel chills when I read what Woodie Keedle did. I have seen Fire and Ice on the History Channel. The Korean War was no picnic. Woodie truly went above and beyond the call of duty. It is a great tragedy of our Country that we did not recognize this brave man before he died. It took another 20 years before he would be honored.
Woodrow Wilson Keeble is the first Sioux to recieve the medal of honor.

In Texas, there is a town that has just about every name that you can think of. There is a Paris, Texas. A Buffalo, Texas. There is a town called Cut-N-Shoot and another one called Nowhere. As far as I know there isn’t an Obama, Texas but there is an Obama, Japan. Now, you can’t beat that. Residents believe that they are bringing Barack Obama luck.
I wonder if there is an Errington, Japan?

Although you won’t hear it from the Clinton camp, Hillary Clinton is still in deep do-do. Winning 3 out of 4 contests yesterday was great. She has motivated her troops. She will raise more money. Great! But the bottom-line is you don’t get the Democratic nomination by winning contests. You get it by winning delegates. (I have place the MSNBC delegate counter on my side-bar for your pleasure.)
12 contest victories in row has made it very difficult for Hillary Clint... more
