It’s October 1. My goal for the month is to take a picture of something pink every day in October. Yes, I know. I’m a dork. Today, I was at the bank, and I took the drive thru . Interestingly, the tube was pink. Isn’t that cool? Again, I’m a dork. But, I took a picture of it, because not only was I impressed with it, but I thought that was a really great idea.
It’s the little things in life that we notice, and that leave the biggest impressions. What’s pink in your world?
Again, don’t forget to add your link in my “ Pink for October ” post so I can donate lots of money this month.

Beyond DoneFrom: solostinwi.com Post Date: 2008-09-14 09:48:44 Last week, I cleaned the house. And I mean cleaned it. It isn’t that our house is gross or anything, but it’s alway cluttered with crap. I had enough. So, I cleaned and cleaned, and then when I was done, I cleaned some more. The only thing I didn’t touch was the kitchen table, because, well, let’s face it. I have no clue where to even start there. So, I left one spot in the house a mess , and the rest was nice and pretty. I was talking to my husband on... more Safety DaysFrom: solostinwi.com Post Date: 2008-09-13 09:36:13 Today I took the kids to Safety Days at BuySeasons in New Berlin . They had a blast there. They got to see a bunch of fire trucks, a safe fun house all decorated for Halloween , got their faces painted, and got tons of free stuff from the fire department and police department . There was tons of stuff to do, and the kids really dug it.
So, if you have nothing to do on this rainy September day, head out to BuySeasons on Moorland Road in New Berlin until 2 today. The kids will have... more Memory On The HorizonFrom: solostinwi.com Post Date: 2008-09-11 09:32:51
Seven years ago today, I would have never been able to take this picture. Seven years ago, I lived in a flight path for Mitchell International Airport , and on this day, a sight so common . . . so normal . . . didn’t exist. For the first time in our country’s history, every airplane was grounded. All of them.
It’s funny the things we take for granted. It’s hard to imagine the sky without airplanes or jet trails. But it happened.
Today, I choose not t... more 2996 Tribute, 9/11 TributeFrom: solostinwi.com Post Date: 2008-09-10 19:43:36 Over the last seven years, I have posted memories and thoughts about 9/11, along with my 2996 tribute. I have posted here, in one place, my three favorites. I will post more later today in a separate post, but for now, please take a moment to view my last three years.

September 11 is once again upon us, and last year I was involved in something that ended up being bigger than anyone ever expected. The 2996 Project was a tribute to each and every ... more
