2 liberals who are smarter than me, and their thoughts on Lieberman

I know I promised I had given my last thought. I have. These are some other people’s thoughts; go check out these posts from around the liberal blogosphere. The Anonymous Liberal: That said, if you want to squint really hard, there is a potential upside to the way things played out. It’s pretty clear from the statements of various parties, including Lieberman himself, that Obama’s expressed desire to bury the hatchet was instrumental in allowing Lieberman to retain his c... more
Obama Promises To Destroy US Economy
From: snarkybytes.com
Post Date: 2008-11-19 07:30:04

The only take away from this Guardian article is that either Obama doesn’t understand basic economics, or he does, and wants to destroy the US economy. He went on to lay out an ambitious agenda, beginning with targets aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. Obama also reiterated a campaign pledge to invest $15bn (£10bn) a year in clean technology - including clean coal and nuclear power. In July 1990 the US GDP (adjusted) was $7.1 trillion. In July 2008... more

How many losers still have that smiling cowboy hat photo hanging in their homes? How many do you have? This is doubly true for very successful politicians like JFK, Reagan, ... more
When life becomes subordinate to the state. My what a brave, new world!
From: granitegrok.com
Post Date: 2008-11-20 05:58:24

A couple of days ago, I recieved an email newsletter from Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council recounting a rather chilling story about the horrific power of government to kill when life becomes insubordinate to the state rather than to God: Newspapers from cities as far away as Melbourne, Australia are anxiously awaiting word on a Uyghur woman in China, six months pregnant with her third child. According to local reports, government officials tracked Arzigul Tursun down in her v... more

From: raisingkaine.com

The 2009 Governor’s Race is already heating up , and while McAuliffe and Moran battle it out, Creigh Deeds portends to split the difference and benefit immensely.   The first shots were fired by the Moran camp as they released a collection of press clippings highlighting the icy reaction McAuliffe’s overtures to candidacy raised in the Virginia political press.  Moran’s moves are just the starting gun.   McAuliffe uuber-spokesman Mo Elithee hit with the classic "curiously n... more
Chris Matthews and Chris Hitchens: Misogyny Squared, Hypocrisy Cubed
From: noquarterusa.net
Post Date: 2008-11-20 06:00:16

I had the supreme misfortune of watching the ever moronic, self-important Mr. Tingle-Up-His-Leg-Matthews interview Chris Hitchens of Vanity Fair, and Peter Beinart of Time Magazine in reference to the buzz about Senator Hillary Clinton being offered the position of Secretary of State in Barack Obama’s incoming administration. Let’s put it this way, one should never watch Hardball while eating. A little background, for those who may have tuned in late. Chris Matthews was recently ridic... more
