In just 5 years we have climbed a long way up in the Internet speed ladder. I can remember my self back in 2001, seating in the same chair, typing on the same keyboard, and accessing the Internet via BSNL landline (PSTN) with Satyam (Sify) dial up connection on my P-II 400 MHz with 128 MB of RAM .
Rs. 450/- which I used to pay for 1 month of Dial up pack (20 hours of access) to Sify and Rs. 1.26/- per call (near about Rs. 24 per hour) to BSNL for their PSTN access charge !!!
There were too much thinking for the bill, calculating every single second of connection to make sure I don’t cross the day’s budget for telephone bill !!!
As I still can remember from 10 PM onwards I would start preparing my self and my PC to get access to the Internet, and at 11.10PM would get connected to open all the email accounts I have, waiting eagerly to see inbox opening in Hotmail / Yahoo and keeping my mouse pointer up on the discon...

The word “cheque drop box” is now an haunting factor for all Indian bank customers. Earlier it used to be just private banks, but now the government banks are joining in too.

Finally after a lot of hide and seek, AMD Phenom triple core makes it to the market. All though as an individual you may not be able to buy a Phenom triple core and build your system around it, however AMD just has confirmed that it has started shipping Triple core Phenom chips to some major PC manufactures.
Currently Dell, HP, and UK based mesh computer, are offering AMDs triple core solutions to the desktop end users.

All though we already have configuration like, Clevo D901C , however all these type of notebooks are built with LGA775 packaging Intel Desktop version of Quad Cores !!
If Digitimes report any thing to go by, then by the end of this year we may see mainstream quad core notebooks to come to the market.
Sources close to digitimes reports that by Q3 2008 Intel would be launching Core 2 Extreme QX9330, which is suppose to come under 45nm, with core frequency of 2.53 GHz @ rated FSB 1066 ...
